Description: Hearth or wall tile in neo-medieval, ecclesiastical style - from a panel of four - with 16 stabbed holes to the rear. From the Hans van Lemmen Collection..

 

Design: One quarter of an quatrefoilwith trefoil and tudor rose buds within a circle with a Latin inscription.

 

Colours: Terracotta red and buff.

 

Dimensions: 6" x 6" x 1/2" (151 mm x 151 mm x 12 mm)

 

Condition: Some loss of surface glaze possibly due to wear or overcleaning otherwise good overall (see photos).
