Description: Glazed, block-printed tile with a repeating pattern in the neo-medieval, gothic revival style.
Design: Central five-petal flower in a quatrefoil showing shamrock woven round a beige rose at the centre, on a black ground and with foiliate crosses in the corners. Design attributed to A.W.N. Pugin (see https://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O278143/tile/)
Colours: Black, terracotta red and buff.
Dimensions: 8" x 8" x 1/2" (205 mm x 205 mm x 11 mm)
Condition: Nibbles, including to the verso, also some under-glaze surface marks (see photos).
