Type: Plastic clay tiles with a repeating pattern forming a 4-tile panel in the neo-medieval, gothic revival style.

 

Description: Two encaustic or inlaid tiles of sandwich construction with maker's mark and twenty-five stabbed holes to the verso. 

 

Design: Forming a pettern of oak leaves in a quatrefoil within a circular border of florets and with oak leaves at the corners.

 

Colours: Blue, terracotta red and buff.

 

Dimensions: 5 7/8" x 5 7/8" x 7/8" (150 mm x 150 mm x 21 mm)

 

Condition: Chips to the corners and verso and some mortar adhering (see photos).
