Type: Inlaid and lead-glazed plastic clay tile with neo-medieval decoration.
 
Description: Decorated floor, wall or hearth tile in ecclesiatical style from a set of four forming a roundel with an inscription. From the Hans van Lemmen Collection.
 
Design: One of a panel of four forming a cardinal quatrefoil with floret and trefoil buds in a circle with a Latin inscription ( 'Ave Maria gratia plena') and with Gothic tracery at the corners.
 
Colours: Yellow and brown.
 
Dimensions: 6" x 6" x 1/2" (150 mm x 150 mm x 12 mm)
 
Condition: Good overall but some rubbing of the glaze. (see photos).
