Description: Decorated floor, wall or hearth tile in ecclesiatical style from a set of four forming a roundel with an inscription. From the Chris Blanchett Collection (#G4)
 
Design: One of a panel of four forming a cardinal quatrefoil with floret and trefoil buds in a circle with a Latin inscription (Ave Maria) and with Gothic tracery at the corners.
 
Colours: Yellow and brown.
 
Dimensions: 6" x 6" x 1/2" (150 mm x 150 mm x 12 mm)
 
Condition: Nibbles and some rubbing of the glaze. (see photos).
