Type: Inlaid, plastic clay floor, wall or hearth tile of sandwich construction.

 

Description: Inlaid tile in neo-medieval, heraldic style with makers marks and sixteen stabbed holes to the rear. From the Chris Blanchett Collection.

 

Design: Central floral roundel formed  by 12 dots surrounded by eight petals with flowering buds in an octofoil within a circle and with leafing buds in the corners.

 

Colours: Brown, terraotta red, blue, white and buff.

 

Dimensions: 6" x 6" x 3/4" (150 mm x 150 mm x 18 mm)

 

Condition: Four chips in one corner and other nibbles and some discolouration (see photos).
