Description: Inlaid encaustic tile designed by A.W.N. Pugin. 

 

Design: Cardinal quatrefoil enclosing a rose & encircled by a conventionalised foliate wreath with three-part terminals; the corners with fleurs-de-lys possibly designed by A. W. N. Pugin. Examples in the House of Commons. and <a href=http://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O256580/tile-minton/" target="_blank">V&A.

 

Colours: Black, dark red and buff.
